"21.01.10 Tonight was one of my favouite discos of all time (top 5 easily). I believe it was an engagement party. If this was the case, I want to get married tomorrow !! The DJ played to the audience and I didn't hear a bad record , in my opinin, for two and a quarter hours from 9.45pm to midnight. More of the same plaese.!! This is where the money is!! "Go to the Royal Oak to enjoy the best sort of English pub, with character and a welcoming and friendly atmosphere - and to enjoy great food at reasonable prices. The Sunday roast is to die for. We had 3 choices of meat, most of us couldn’t decide so had all 3. Abundance of vegetables…yorkshires, stuffing. Which is how we all ended up….absolutely stuffed. Service was excellent..both in the bar and the restaurant.
We will certainly be returning!! I absolutely recommend it."

"I hosted my son's 3rd birthday party at the Royal Oak, in their garden. My husband and I were so impressed to find such a lovely family orientated pub which had such a big play area for the children that was completely safe!!! The children were seated under a gazebo for their lunch and were free to run around and enjoy the super playframe. The staff took care of the party from start to finish which meant us parents could relax and enjoy the day as much as the children. The party was a HUGE success so much so that we ended up staying until bedtime!! I would strongly recommend a visit to The Royal Oak, it's a great FAMILY day out"

"My husband and I have been regulars at The Royal Oak since in re-opened in June. The carvery is simply the best - never tasted meat so tender & tasty and what a choice of vegetables!! ( make sure you book it is very popular )
We have also enjoyed lunches and dinners during the week where we have been spoilt for choice.
The dining area is inviting and comfortable & the tables are laid with linen napkins !!"

“I regularly went to The Royal Oak over the summer holidays with my 3 young children, the garden is great & they loved the huge play area, the kids menu is great & my 3 ate well after playing for so long, it is nice to go somewhere that is both children & adult friendly so that you all feel like you have had a good time. “I am now a regular for the Sunday Carvery, I am a fussy eater and I can say that The Royal Oak's carvery is by far the best I have ever had! The meat is always very good quality & cooked to perfection & the potatoes & veg are perfect, I don't normally have room for a dessert, but I do try as they are so delicious! Not only is it a superb Sunday lunch, it is also great value. Why cook at home! Thank you & keep up the good work!"
